  13. I agree, we can go see these bands in Brooklyn every night of the week. Definitely could have used the money more wisely, there are many better options out there, and plenty more Purchase bands that would have liked a chance to get a spot on the main stage.

Somehow the battle of the bands, or for that matter, any sort of honorable decision making process was completely omitted, and the Delay and Mokaad's Cover Band got free tickets to the main stage. (good for them though)

For graduating seniors, Culture Shock is an excellent chance to gain a little bit of publicity and experience on a medium/large stage before entering the real world. This year's Culture Shock was very unfair to campus musicians who never got a chance to play main stage at their school's most attended event.

    Best bands this year:
    Surfer Blood
    The Books
    Maps and Atlases
    Turbo Fruits
    Data Dog
    Sex God Cowboys
    We Are Not Bears
    Elemeno

Sam really should have considered how this event could benefit our students in the best way possible. Better luck to next year's MEC.
